Steps to Unlearning
Unlearn What Disconnects Us.
Rebuild What Sustains Us.
Let go of harmful patterns and rediscover your capacity for care, connection, and clarity—together.
Join a growing community reimagining how we live, work, and lead.
The Steps to Unlearning is more than a framework. It’s a practice, a community, and a movement rooted in emotional intelligence, collective healing, and systems change.
It’s designed to help you:
Recognize inherited patterns that shape your relationships, leadership, and work
Reflect with others in facilitated small-group Circles
Rebuild from the inside out with emotional tools, story-sharing, and deep self-inquiry
Reconnect with what matters—your integrity, your values, your community
This isn’t self-help. It’s shared work.
And you don’t have to do it alone.

A Letter from Amy
This project began after a season of deep grief and disconnection.
What I found was this: we can’t build new systems until we release the ones we’ve internalized.
Steps to Unlearning was born from 12-step recovery, Buddhist psychology, and systems change work—woven together with community care. It’s for anyone ready to stop performing and start practicing something more honest.
I hope you’ll join us.
— Amy J. Wilson, Founder

Why Unlearning?
Why Now?
We’ve been taught to strive, prove, perfect, and perform.
To measure worth by productivity.
To silence discomfort.
To fear rest, emotion, slowness, and failure.
These patterns helped us survive, but they’re not helping us thrive.
Meanwhile, the world is shifting. Burnout, disillusionment, and a sense that “business as usual” is broken are everywhere. The systems we’ve inherited — built on extraction, urgency, and fear — are failing.
Unlearning is how we let go of what no longer serves us and create space for something better: cultures of care, belonging, and resilience.
The Steps to Unlearning offers a roadmap for this transformation — not through quick fixes, but through courageous reflection, community, and practice.
